The American Chestnut Registration Form
Saturday, November 2nd, 2002
9 a.m.-1 p.m.
American Chestnut Cooperator's Foundation (ACCF) was founded in 1984 and is dedicated to restoring American chestnuts in eastern hardwood forests. One of their restoration efforts introduces improved blight resistance by grafting scions into available root systems or planting seedlings on former American chestnut lands. This fall Lucille Griffin, with ACCF, will speak to us at Friends of Bull Run. We will walk with her up the mountain and let her get a first-hand look at our remaining root sprouts, possibly paving the way to begin restoring American chestnuts on the Bull Run Mountains. Space is limited. Pre-registration is required.
Fees are $10.00 for FoBR members and $15.00 for nonmembers.
