Herpetology Camp News

After scouring the mountain for rattlesnakes, salamanders, frogs, and turtles, these young herpetologists learned how to build a terrarium. The new tenants (American Toad, red-spotted newt, hognose snake, and tadpoles) are now enjoying their new home decorated with moss, ferns, rocks, soil, and lichencovered twigs from the woods.

It has come to our attention that many bigger kids, usually referred to as adults, are interested in a Herpetology Day where they get a turn to discover more about snakes, turtles, salamanders, frogs, etc. If you are interested in learning more about amphibians and reptiles, please contact BRMC to let us know so that we may schedule a program. Don’t be shy!
